Dua Makarimul Akhlak-Lessons
When Sheikh Dungarsi was here he did one majlis on Moral traits and he went through a list of lessons learnt from the dua. The list is attached (link below).  We are scheduled to Inshallah recite this dua on Thursday at our center.  Please click here to learn more on this dua.

Kids Ramadhan Fasting Calendar is now online
The Jamaat will be rewarding the kids under 10 who have attempted to fast during the holy month.  The kids fasting calendar is now available online.  Please click Here to access the calendar.  Remember to please fill them out for all kids 10 and under.  They MUST be returned to either Sister Sakina Salemohamed or Brother Mohsin Kassam no later than September 4th, 2010.

News from the Outreach Committee
Breakfast at Sukkot On Sunday, September 23rd, we have been invited to enjoy breakfast by our Interfaith partners, Beth El Synagogue. The breakfast will be served at "Sukkot" (outdoors tents which have Jewish symbolism). The program will start at 9:00 am with their service followed by breakfast at 10:00 am. The service will be full of interest festive rituals to celebrate "Sukkot".   The event will be held at 5224 West 26th Street, St Louis Park, MN 55416. Ramadhan Fund is now Open

    This fund is open and our target for this year is $13,500.  This is a slight increase from the original budget due to having to cater on few nights for the Iftaar.  Due to the timing we are expecting larger than normal crowds on the weekdays, therefore the Executive Committee has decided to increase the budget slightly to accommodate this increase.  This will also assist young mothers who due to their busy schedule are unable to participate in the cooking for the Iftaar.  This is an excellent opportunity for all who have not been able to participate in the cooking in past especially during the weekdays.  This funds as many of you know pays for all activities, Iftaars, Eid activities, Eid gifts to Kids, gifts to kids for fasting and participating during the Dua/Quraan classes and all operating expenses that occur during this Holy month.   Therefore we encourage all to please donate generously towards this fund.  For any questions please contact our Treasure, Brother Naushad Karim.  For you convenience we also accept all major credit cards in addition to personal checks and cash.

The Importance of Feeding a Hungry Person
O Allah feed all the hungry.  The holy Prophet said in his sermon: O People! If anybody amongst you arranges for the Iftar for any believer, Allah will give him a reward as if he has set free a slave. He will also forgive his minor sins.
Then the companions of Holy Prophet said: "But everybody amongst us does not have the means to do so?"
Holy Prophet told them: - Keep yourself away from the Fire of Hell, by inviting for 'Iftar', though it may consist of only half a date or simply with water if you have nothing else.
Imam Ali (AS) said, 'The nourishment of the body is food while the nourishment of the soul is feeding others.
Imam al-Baqir (AS) said, 'Verily Allah loves the feeding of food to other.

  Virtues of the Night of Qadr
The Holy month of Ramadhan is the best of the months and the best of the nights in this month is the night of Laylatul Qadr. This is when the holy Quran was revealed. According to a hadith all four of the holy books, Injeel, Torah, bible and the Holy Quran were revealed in the holy month of Ramadhan.  Please click Here to read more.
