Every Thursday evenings (Shab-e-Jumah) there is: Namaz-e-maghribain; Dua-e-Kumayl; Sura-e-Yasin; short lecture and Ziyarat-e-Waritha at the Ja'afari Islamic Center.
Every Friday Afternoons at Zohr time, Salatul-Jumah is held at the Ja'afari Islamic Center.
All important Islamic historical events such as birth and death anniversary of all Ma'sumeen (a.s.) are held at the Ja'afari Islamic Center
Programs such as Qura'an recitation, Iftar, Islamic lecture and Eid celebration are held at the Ja'afari Islamic Center and Eid Carnival on the day of Eid is organized for the whole family to ebjoy at our Multi Purpose Center.
Commemorations of the events of Ashura are held at the Ja'afari Islamic Center.
The services of a resident aalim are available to the members of the community.
Islamic teachings based on Fiqh-e-Ja'faria are held every Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Az-Zahra Madressah & Academy caters to children ages 4 through 18 years old. The classes are held at the state of the art Madressah Center. Madressah also organizes Islamic Summer Camps for the students.
An elected committee of youth organizes various activities throughout the year for the youth such as skiing, discussion sessions, board games, Sleepovers etc.
Several gravesites have been secured for community members at the Mounds Cemetery in Brooklyn Center. The cemetery is located just 10 miles from the Ja'afari Islamic Center. Funeral and burial services are held at the Center when needed.
Nikahs are also performed at the Ja'afari Islamic Center when needed. Hussein Walji is lawfully authorized to solemnize marriages within the State of Minnesota. His credentials are in file with the Hennepin County.
Collection of Islamic books; magazines; audio and video tapes are maintained in the Library at the Madressah Center. Many Islamic books and videos are also available for purchase.
Zainabia Child Sponsorship Scheme:
Anjuman-e-Asghari under the patronage of NASIMCO and the World Federation of KSIMC coordinates the Zainabia Child Sponsorship Scheme for its membership. Through this scheme, you can sponsor children in many developing countries to pay for their education and other living expenses.
Summer Fun Program:
The objective of this program is to provide kids an islamic environment where they can get together to have fun during the summer break and learn at the same time. There are lots of activities organized such as Quran recitation, field trips, crafts, and visits to the Community Centers and/or water parks.
Jaffery Sports of Minnesota caters to the recreational needs of the community by organizing sporting and fitness activities for both men and women of all ages. Daily activities are held at the Multi Purpose Center (MPC).
